Lyon sports director Junhinho Pernambucano jokingly announced his interest in N’Golo Kante after announcing that Chelsea was ready to sell the midfielder.

The world champion has been an important part of the Chelsea midfield since leaving Leicester City in 2016 with £32 million.

However, Kanté has had to deal with injuries this season and has only been able to play 16 of Chelsea’s 29 Premier League games.

The report says Chelsea would consider letting Kante go at the end of the season, as both clubs, St Germain in Paris and Real in Madrid, are interested in a midfielder.

Uninho saw the story on Twitter and said he would like to bring Kante to Lyon with a message of encouragement for the fans.

Lyon is currently in seventh place in Ligue 1, while Kante is expected to cost more than double last summer’s current transfer record with a deal of €30 million (£26 million) for Danish defender Joachim Andersen.

Meanwhile Chelsea was criticised for not being able to negotiate a new contract with Willian.

The current contract with the Brazilian will expire this summer.

There are teams near the O.R. to sign him.

He’s a special player, and to me, Chelsea threw one and put him in this situation.
